Love this place, can't believe I hadn't tried this sooner!! I've lived here for a while and never been, until recently, now I'm obsessed!

my friend was coming off a cold so i told her let's have korean soup. eventho I live in ktown, i'm not really familiar with which restaurants are good so i used yelp & found this place. it's pretty cheap for the items we wanted. I also saw that they sell rice cake so I asked oma how spicey it was & she said it wasn't spicey @ all so I asked if she could make it real spicey & she said 'yes'. I couldn't wait. when she brought it to our table....OMG it was spicey & the flavor was soooooo good. anyway, the sign shows that it is open 24hrs. so if ur in the neighborhood & is hungry 4 korean food, i say 엄마 집 is the place to go.

Old old establishment that does soups like soybean soup, pollack soup, and seaweed soup super well along with hitters like braised eundaegu jorim and dakdoritang

Popped in here on a New Year's Day for dinner. Place is an unassuming hole in the wall. The lady working reminds me of a typical Asian mom, very direct / blunt but also caring. Tried the army soup. Perfect for the cold weather we are having right now. Couldn't stop eating and was very full.

One of the oldest korean restaurants in k town but is underrated. You can possibly find any korean home style menu you can think of and the taste is consistently average to above average - you're not going to be disappointed. Emo (Auntie in Korean) here is really lovely and caring. I like their pan fried fish (imyeonsoo) and Gochujang soup.

Tried their cheapest $7.99 sulungtang ( beef soup) in the menu. We only ordered 2 sulungtang so they only gave us 2 ban chan(side dishes)- kimchi and radishes . We saw other customers got 4 ban chan(side dishes) because they ordered different dishes. I was able to ask more kimchi after I finished it. For $7.99, I don't complain the quality of beef slices are not tender enough, and the soup was delicious. Kimchi and radishes tasted good as well. It's pretty worth it since all other restaurants sell sulungtang for $13.5 and up. I will come back for their cheap sulungtang !

So good but somewhat pricey. We ordered the Bulgogi and a hot stone bibimbap. And tonsssss of side dishes. Very tasty and warm. Parking was a nightmare but this kinda made up for it. Definitely worth coming back!

Open 24hours! $13.54 Tofu to-go comes with rice and side dish. Legit!! My expectation is fairly low for late night comfort food in this area. Not the best, and not the worst; edible. Looking forward to dining in next time and try: #33 chicken sauteed for 2ppl, around $30. 930pm Thursday night has maybe 1/4 store filled with what looks like Korean dad's, and Latino family. Legit authentic eating local crowd. Small parking lot.
